Update On The Situation

Hey! So it’s been about a month since my last post and I thought I should post a status update.

Unfortunately, while I’m seriously itching to translate something now, my hands are really not in the best shape to do that (at least, a lot of typing). I learned that the hard way when I tried to do something strenuous as soon as my hands felt a little better and yeah… The results were not pretty the next day. So while I wish I could, I don’t think I can update as quickly on the date I set a month ago. As I’ve learned from my last post, I won’t make any promises on when I’ll be back, though I’ll try to translate a few paragraphs a day.

Also, while I was gone, I received several messages asking for permission to retranslate my projects into other languages. Sorry for the late reply, so here it is: I give permission for everyone to retranslate my projects into other languages, as long as you give credit and do not profit from it. I’ll probably move this note to the sidebar when I come back and post more.

For those who are still reading and waiting for ROM and TPMYRATM, sorry for the inconvenience and just know that I’m still planning on continuing my translations! Thank you for your patience.

Break/Hiatus Announcement

I’m sorry to announce so suddenly that I’ll be taking a break soon, about a month or so because:

  1. A few weeks ago I ran into a few problems with my hands. While translating/typing isn’t the main reason for it, I’d like to put as little strain on them as possible.
  2. Unfortunately I have burned out again, which is something that happens every year. Although I don’t post a lot, I’ve been updating pretty consistently for the past year and I think it’s time to take a break.

As for RoM V8C4, I’m almost finished with it (a few pages left) and so I’ll be posting it but the update might be a little later than usual. About one or two days.

I’ll be going on hiatus for a month or so like I said, so I’ll come back around 23rd February if things go to plan. Again, I apologize for this sudden announcement and I hope you will understand. Have a nice day, and happy early Chinese New Year!

Hey guys. First of all, Merry Christmas!

Secondly, I’m going to have to skip next week’s update for ROM and I’m really sorry about that. I’m currently away from home (a sudden trip, I didn’t know I was going anywhere until the day we set out) so it’s really hard to translate right now, since I translate ROM from physical copies. I will only be able to return to translating on Monday and I don’t think that’s enough time to finish the chapter.

V8C2 will be only be posted next year unfortunately, so see you then!

TPMYRATM will be posted as usual.

Hey! I’ll be taking a sorta break this week for RoM, because I’ve been busy these past few days and I probably won’t be able to make it this Wednesday. Back on schedule next week though!

Will still be posting for The Protagonist but updates will be slower. Thanks for understanding~

[Urgent Announcement] Lan Qi Zuo Ren

Posting in place of the author, I just received news from a relative that the author was in a serious car accident in the evening. The situation is currently stable, but there is serious injury to the head, awareness is a little fuzzy, needs to convalesce, and is currently hospitalized. Time is needed for rest and treatment.

To observe the situation and focus on recuperating, the Facebook fanpage will suspend its updates during this period of time. Please send your prayers to the author, and we hope for everyone to take care of themselves as well.

So… I was reading the earlier chapters of Residence of Monsters… And I’ve been thinking… They really need to be revised. But… 50 chapters ｡：ﾟ(｡ﾉω＼｡)ﾟ･｡ Maybe I should really get a proofreader/editor. Also I’ve come to terms with the fact that no matter what I do the chapter won’t be perfect unless I get a second pair of eyes on it -_-

Another thing was the term ‘miemoshi’, 灭魔师. The readers who’ve been reading from the start should know that I started off by translating it as ‘Demon Slayer’, but changed it back to ‘miemoshi’. I… don’t know why I did that? Demon Slayer was a perfectly good translation, though the much accurate translation would be Demon Extinguisher/Destroyer? Also, since there are Summoners/miemoshi all around the world, I don’t think they would use something that is a Chinese term when the zhaohuanshi (召唤师) are called Summoners?? I don’t know what I was thinking two years ago… Anyway, I’ve been re-evaluating my translation choices recently and I think I should change miemoshi back to Demon Slayer. I’m really sorry for changing the terms all the time, please don’t kill me |_-｡) *bows* Also I’ll try to find an editor in the meantime so they can advise me on my translation choices in the future…
